Vanessa Ford

Vanessa joined Teplitsky LLP after completing her articles with the firm. She has a broad litigation practice which includes corporate/commercial litigation, real property disputes and general contractual disputes.

Prior to joining the firm, Vanessa graduated on the Dean's Honour List with a J.D. from the University of Ottawa. While at law school Vanessa worked as a caseworker in the Tenant Division of the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, a Writing Leader in the Legal Writing Academy and a Research Assistant with the University of Ottawa's Centre for Law, Technology and Society. In this role Vanessa developed educational resources, outreach programs and digital content based on the role digital communication technologies can play in undermining the equality and privacy rights of members of vulnerable communities. Vanessa was the recipient of the 2021 McCarthy Tétrault LLP Technology Law Award.

Before law school Vanessa worked in the advertising and manufacturing industries, where she developed strategies and campaigns for multinational brands and oversaw the operations of a manufacturing facility.

These combined educational and business experiences give Vanessa the ability to bring both a legal and practical approach to assisting clients and solving their problems.

Vanessa works directly with Stephen Brunswick, Harvin Pitch, Matthew Sokolsky and Adam Brunswick.
